His classic columns for Guitar Player and Bass Player magazines, for Vintage Guitar Magazine (where he is still current after 18years), and his video, and dvd courses have helped introduce the vocabulary of guitar repair and setup to the masses. His 35 year tenure as the face of StewMac helped guide the company into being the leader in guitar making and repair tools, instructional videos, books, hardware, guitar and amp building kits world-wide. As a guitar maker, Dan’s instruments have found their way into the hands of icons such as Jerry Garcia, Albert King, Otis Rush, Joe Bonamassa, and Jason Sinay.
