built for guitar icon Jerry Garcia in 1973
…watch Garcia receive The Jerry with great joy…
Dan Erlewine approached lead guitar icon Jerry Garcia in the summer of love in San Francisco with an offer to build a ‘one-off’ guitar out of a century-old block of black walnut. In the last 50 years, there have been only about 5 Jerry Replicas that have been fabricated by the Erlewine workshop.
This guitar model contains every element of value from a Collector’s standpoint: (1) there is history embedded in this guitar from one of the greatest lead guitarists ever; (2) the builder of this guitar is the most pedigreed guitar man in the last 50 years; (3) less than half dozen have ever been built, and (4) the construction quality of the replicas is even better than the original.
